On March 24, as part of the enhancement of Kanazawa University research capabilities under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's 'Regional Core and Unique Research University Strengthening Promotion Project (J-PEAKS)', Kanazawa University hosted in a hybrid format an internal symposium "Space Science and Engineering Research Center" that is being developed with a focus on advancing the integration of science and engineering, centered around the Advanced Space Engineering Research Center, the Nanomaterials Research Institute, and the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology. The symposium was attended by 50 participants.
Following the opening remarks by Seigo Kinuya Vice President and Deputy Director of J-PEAKS Promotion Division, Professor Daisuke Yonetoku from Advanced Space Engineering Research Center, Professor Norio Tokuda from Nanomaterials Research Institute and Professor Keisuke Fukushi from Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology explained the concept, role and vision of the research center, followed by a question-and-answer session. During the Q&A session, there was a lively exchange of opinions on the research content of the research centers, future developments, and the possibility of collaboration with the research centers, making this a very meaningful symposium.
Kanazawa University J-PEAKS will continue to accelerate the formation of world-class research centers, promote the strengthening of research capabilities, achieve the numerical targets for the outputs and outcomes of this project, and promote the realization of our vision for the next 10 years.
