Today, on April 9, the cherry blossoms at Kakuma Campus of Kanazawa University are in full bloom.
Kanazawa University has about 680 cherry trees of 11 varieties, including Somei-Yoshino and Yamazakura, on its campus, making it one of Kanazawa's most famous cherry blossom viewing spots. In the February 27, 2016 issue of Nikkei Plus One's "Anything Ranking," Kanazawa University's Kakuma Campus was ranked number one in Western Japan in the "Ranking of cherry blossom spots at domestic universities you should visit at least once."
There are many other cherry blossom viewing spots on the Kakuma Campus besides the ones shown here, so be sure to visit the campus!
