On February 28, a USMLE examination and results presentation was held at School of Medicine (hybrid format). The USMLE is a medical licensing examination in the United States, and this time, three 5th and 6th year students of the School of Medicine who took Step 1 shared their experiences.

School of Medicine students who gave presentations talked about the difficulty of balancing their studies with studying for Japan's National Medical Examination, ways to maintain motivation, the importance of preparing with ample time to spare, the mindset needed to approach the exam with determination, and how to effectively use English video learning materials and online question.

Thirteen students from various backgrounds, from those who have already started studying to those who are considering taking the exam, participated in the seminar and actively took a part in exchanging questions and answers. Students who passed the exam this time said, "What I learned at the USMLE presentation last year and the connections I made with my seniors who passed the exam were very helpful."

Kanazawa University School of Medicine aims to develop highly skilled medical professionals who will contribute to global medicine, health, welfare, and medical research, and provides a forum for the exchange of information for motivated students who are also taking on the US Medical Licensing Examination while enrolled. We hope that this presentation session will encourage more students to take on the challenge next year and beyond!
