Report on the "SDGs Intergenerational Learning Program 2024(Winter)" by JU-MAB Partner Universities

From February 21 to 24 as part of Kanazawa University's UNESCO Chair(※1) Program, the "SDGs Intergenerational Learning Program 2024(Winter)" was held in the Mount Hakusan Biosphere Reserve and Hakusan Tedorigawa UNESCO Global Geopark, in collaboration with JU-MAB affiliated universities (※2). Twelve students, including those from Kanazawa University, Yokohama National University, Ehime University, Chuo University, Ritsumeikan University, and Nagaoka University of Technology, who is a member of the Next Generation UNESCO National Committee participated in the event.

The program which was funded by the Shibuya Academic, Cultural, and Sports Promotion Foundation, focused on the goals of the SDGs, emphasizing ecosystems and sustainable development. Students experienced local life and the natural environment while learning about sustainable development through interactions with local residents.
