On December 9, the Educational Management Seminar 2024 "Considering the organizations, methods, and people who support interdisciplinary learning: New learning support in the era of humanities and science integration and STEAM education" was held jointly by the three participating schools (Kanazawa University, Taisho University, Niigata University and Waseda University) under the common theme of the "Human Resource Development Project to Support a Knowledge-Intensive Society (DP)". The Seminar took place at Taisho University in a hybrid format. 170 faculty, staff and students from both inside and outside the universities attended the event.

The DP has set four common themes across Menus I, II, and III, and aims to accumulate and disseminate versatile results by having the nine selected universities collaborate across the different menus. Of these, Common Theme 3 is "Information exchange and consideration of methods and systems to support diverse learning."

After the opening remarks by President Chijyun Kamitatsu of Taisho University, Associate Professor Eiko Shimizu from Educational Planning Office of the Ehime University Education and Student Services Department (President of the Japan Academic Advising Association) gave a keynote speech titled "What is Academic Advising to Enrich Cross-Disciplinary Learning?". In addition, Professor Takeshi Matsushita from Graduate School of Education of Joetsu University of Education (Japan Peer Support Society Trustee) gave a keynote speech titled "The Effects and Possibilities of Peer Support in Humanities and Sciences Integration and STEAM Education". Next, in the report on the results of the participating schools in Common Theme 3, Professor Toru Hayashi, Deputy Director of Center for Management of Teaching and Learning of Kanazawa University, presented the results of the activities.

In the latter half of the panel discussion, facilitated by Assistant Professor Takahiro Yamashita from the same Center, the two keynote speakers and four students from each university exchanged opinions on "Achievements in Academic Support", "University-wide Support System to Realize Academic Advising", "Issues to Continue Peer Support".

Finally, Vice President Kyoko Ojima (in charge of Educational Reform, Planning and Evaluation)/Director of the Center for Management of Teaching and Learning of Kanazawa University gave closing remarks and the seminar ended on a high note.
