The first half of the special exhibition, "The History of Kanazawa University Dormitories - Hakubai Dormitory Edition/Sengaku Dormitory Edition" will be held at the Kanazawa University Museum.
In 2023, due to the deterioration of the buildings and other reasons, the HaKubai Dormitory (women's dormitory) and Sengaku Dormitory (men's dormitory), which were student dormitories at Kanazawa University, were closed, and many dormitory-related materials were donated to the museum. This special exhibition is divided into two parts, the Hakubai Dormitory Edition and the Sengaku Dormitory Edition, and will display some of the valuable materials remaining in the dormitories, introducing how the dormitories were run by the "self-governance" of the dormitories residents, and introduce the dormitories' unique cultural activities.
