The above-stated thematic symposium will be held on the afternoon of the 4th of March 2025. This year's symposium will maintain the general theme of "Environment and the Sustainable Development of Rural and Urban Societies in East Asia," but will focus on the recovery from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024, which caused severe damage to the Noto area, with particular attention on the rescue activities of cultural assets and the recovery of local manufacturing. Two researchers from Taiwan, prone to earthquake disasters, are also scheduled to attend and talk.
This symposium will be held at Kanazawa University and online. There is no registration or participation fee to participate in person. If you would like to participate online, the Zoom link is below.
